Time Trials
The Benicia Bicycle Club conducts time trials monthly from April to October. They are held on 2 different courses and riders compete for the individual fastest time in age and gender categories. There are also categories based on type of bicycle ridden. Anyone can race but only members can hold club TT records.
The Lopes Road course is 10.3 miles long & starts near the truck stop on Lopes Road. Racers go out to the Fairfield city limits sign and back.
The Goodyear Road course is 10 miles long & starts slightly north of Lake Herman Road on Goodyear Road. Racers go to the very end of the road and back.
Time Trials are on the 1st Wednesday of the Month starting in April and continue through October except for the July time trial, which is on July 4th at 10 am.

Merckx Division TT Guidelines
EDDY MERCKX DIVISION – NO AERO EQUIPMENT ALLOWED
BIKE FRAME: no time trial frame, only standard road bike set-up
WHEELS: no rim depth greater than 36mm. No 3, 4 or 5 spoke carbon wheels.
HANDLEBARS: standard road bars only
HELMET: no aero helmet
CLOTHING: no skinsuit
