229th Annual President's Day Ride

We are planning to do the annual Presidents Day ride to Winters. The start will be at 8 am Monday, Feb 19 from the Benicia State Park parking lot. Total ride will be about 100 miles. There is no sag or support. An alternative for a shorter ride (about 60 miles) is to start and finish at the Valley Cafe near the corner of Rockville Road and Suisuin Valley Road. The group will be coming through and leaving the Valley Cafe around 9:15 am. Here is the route: https://www.strava.com/routes/1442488.

Rules for Rides

  1. You must have a current Club membership to ride. Invited guests are allowed to ride once a year.
  2. No SAG vehicles.
  3. No Off Road rides.
  4. No Club organized races.

The above rules are imposed by the Club's insurance carrier. I'm just relaying the technical rules the Club must operate under. We're looking into a different insurance carrier. Don't try to skirt the rules. Every gets sued if something bad happens, including the organizer.

Rider Conduct

  1. Obviously, don't endanger yourself, your fellow riders, or the general public.
  2. It's not my job (I can't handle that stress) to tell the group the pace to ride, or if there will be regroups, etc. You have to decide amongst yourselves.
